Vinayapiṭaka · Cūḷavagga (1) · Vol. 6 · Section 514

[514] Bhikkhus, here again, a bhikkhu commits several offenses (āpatti) entailing a formal meeting of the Saṅgha (saṅghādisesa). Some of his offenses are concealed and some are unconcealed. He disrobes, and having been ordained again, those offenses which he formerly concealed he later conceals, and those offenses which he formerly did not conceal he later does not conceal. Bhikkhus, having given that bhikkhu probation (parivāsa) for the earlier and the later classes of offenses according as they were concealed, penance (mānatta) should be given.
