Niyasakamma

[62] Bhikkhus, an act of demotion (niyassakamma) possessed of three further factors is both an act in accordance with the Dhamma (dhammakamma) and an act in accordance with the Discipline (vinayakamma), and is well settled: it is done with the acknowledgment (paṭiññāya) of the accused, it is done in accordance with the Dhamma, and it is done by a united Saṅgha. Bhikkhus, an act of demotion possessed of these three factors is both an act in accordance with the Dhamma and an act in accordance with the Discipline, and is well settled.
