Niyasakamma

[63] Bhikkhus, when an act of demotion (niyassakamma) possesses three further factors, it is a legitimate act (dhammakamma), an act in accordance with the discipline (vinayakamma), and one that is well settled: it is done for an offense (āpatti); it is done in accordance with the Dhamma; it is done by a united [Saṅgha]. Bhikkhus, when an act of demotion possesses these three factors, it is a legitimate act, an act in accordance with the discipline, and one that is well settled. Section Eight.
