Niyasakamma

[68] Bhikkhus, an act of demotion (niyassakamma) possessed of three further factors is a legitimate act (dhammakamma), an act in accordance with the discipline (vinayakamma), and well settled: it is done after the offence has been charged, it is done in accordance with the Dhamma, and it is done by a harmonious [Saṅgha]. Bhikkhus, an act of demotion possessed of these three factors is a legitimate act, an act in accordance with the discipline, and well settled. The twelve sections on legitimate acts are finished.
