[67] Bhikkhus, when a legal act of demotion (niyassakamma) possesses another three factors, it is an act in accordance with the Dhamma (dhammakamma) and an act in accordance with the Vinaya (vinayakamma), and it is well settled: it is done after having caused (the accused) to recall (sāretvā); it is done in accordance with the Dhamma; it is done by a united (Saṅgha).
Bhikkhus, when a legal act of demotion possesses these three factors, it is an act in accordance with the Dhamma and an act in accordance with the Vinaya, and it is well settled.
