Khuddakavatthukkhandhaka

[45] Now at that time bhikkhus hung their bowls on wall-pegs (bhittikhīla) and on elephant-tusk pegs (nāgadantaka). A bowl, having fallen down, broke. They reported this matter to the Blessed One. … "Bhikkhus, a bowl should not be hung up; whoever should hang one up commits an offense of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa)."
