[475] What are the four suspensions of the Pātimokkha (pātimokkhaṭṭhapana) that are not in accordance with the Dhamma? One suspends the Pātimokkha on account of a groundless failure in virtue (sīlavipatti); one suspends the Pātimokkha on account of a groundless failure in conduct (ācāravipatti); one suspends the Pātimokkha on account of a groundless failure in view (diṭṭhivipatti); one suspends the Pātimokkha on account of a groundless failure in livelihood (ājīvavipatti). These are the four suspensions of the Pātimokkha that are not in accordance with the Dhamma.
