[474] "Where was the saṅghādisesa on account of engaging in bodily contact with a woman (mātugāma) laid down?" — "It was laid down at Sāvatthī." "Concerning whom?" — "Concerning the Venerable Udāyi." "On what account?" — "On the account that the Venerable Udāyi engaged in bodily contact with a woman."
There is one laying down (paññatti). Of the six origins of offenses (āpattisamuṭṭhāna), it arises through one origin: it arises from body and from mind (citta), not from speech.
