[497] On account of having a large dwelling (vihāra) built, one falls into three offenses (āpatti): while he is having it built, in the act itself (payoga), an offense of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa); when one lump has not yet come, an offense of grave transgression (thullaccaya); when that lump has come, an offense entailing a formal meeting of the Saṅgha (saṅghādisesa).
