[501] Bhikkhus who side with one who causes schism (bhedakānuvattakā), by reason of not relinquishing when admonished (samanubhāsanā) up to the third time, incur three offences (āpatti): with the motion (ñatti), an offence of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa); with the two proclamations (kammavācā), offences of grave transgression (thullaccaya); at the conclusion of the proclamation, an offence entailing initial and subsequent meetings of the Saṅgha (saṅghādisesa).
