[257] A **bhikkhu** who is a schism-maker (saṅghabhedaka), being formally admonished (samanubhāsiyamāna) up to the third time and not relinquishing, commits three offences (āpatti): at the motion (ñatti), an offence of wrongdoing (dukkaṭa); with the two proclamations (kammavācā), offences of grave transgression (thullaccaya); at the conclusion of the [final] proclamation, an offence entailing a formal meeting of the Saṅgha (saṅghādisesa).
