[258] Bhikkhus who side with one who causes schism (bhedakānuvattakā), being formally admonished (samanubhāsanā) up to the third time and not relinquishing, incur three offences: at the motion (ñatti), an offence of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa); at the two proclamations of the formal act (kammavācā), grave offences (thullaccaya); at the conclusion of the proclamation of the formal act, an offence entailing a formal meeting of the Saṅgha (saṅghādisesa).
