[587] "Where was the offense entailing expiation (pācittiya) laid down for a bhikkhunī giving with her own hand hard food (khādanīya) or soft food (bhojanīya) to a householder, or to a male wanderer, or to a female wanderer?" — "It was laid down at Sāvatthī." — "Regarding whom?" — "Regarding the bhikkhunī Thullanandā." — "Concerning what matter?" — "Concerning the matter that the bhikkhunī Thullanandā gave with her own hand both hard food and soft food to a householder."
There is one laying down of the rule. Of the six origins of offenses, it originates through two origins (as in the Eḷakaloma rule).
