[621] "Where was the pācittiya laid down for one who ordains (vuṭṭhāpeti) a trainee nun (sikkhamānā) who has not been permitted by her mother and father or by her husband?"
"It was laid down at Sāvatthī."
"Concerning whom?"
"Concerning the bhikkhunī Thullanandā."
"On account of what matter?"
"On the matter that the bhikkhunī Thullanandā ordained a trainee nun who had not been permitted both by her mother and father and by her husband."
There is one laying down (paññatti). Of the six origins of offenses (āpattisamuṭṭhāna), it arises through four origins: it may arise from speech, not from body, not from mind (citta); it may arise from body and speech, not from mind; it may arise from speech and mind, not from body; it may arise from body, speech, and mind.
