[789] "Where was the pārājika on account of consenting to bodily contact laid down (paññatta) by that Blessed One who knows, who sees, the Arahant, the Perfectly Awakened One?" — "It was laid down at Sāvatthī." — "Concerning whom?" — "Concerning the bhikkhunī Sundarīnandā." — "In what matter?" — "In the matter of the bhikkhunī Sundarīnandā, lustful (avassutā), consenting to bodily contact with a lustful male person."
"Is there in that case a laying down (paññatti), a supplementary laying down (anupaññatti), a laying down for what had not arisen (anuppannapaññatti)?" — "There is one laying down; there is in it no supplementary laying down and no laying down for what had not arisen." — "Is it a laying down for everywhere or a laying down for a particular region?" — "A laying down for everywhere." — "Is it a laying down common (to both Saṅghas) or a laying down not common?" — "A laying down not common." — "Is it a laying down for one side or a laying down for both?" — "A laying down for one side."
