[69] Therein, bhikkhus, as for those ascetics and brahmins who are speculators about the past (pubbantakappikā), who hold views concerning the past, and who assert various propositions of conviction (adhimuttipadāni) concerning the past on eighteen grounds — that too is conditioned by contact (phassa).
