[149] Now at that time a certain **bhikkhu**, with a mind intent on theft, took a mango belonging to the Saṅgha … a rose-apple belonging to the Saṅgha … a breadfruit belonging to the Saṅgha … a jackfruit belonging to the Saṅgha … a ripe palmyra fruit belonging to the Saṅgha … sugar-cane belonging to the Saṅgha … with a mind intent on theft he took a timbarūsaka fruit belonging to the Saṅgha. He was afflicted with scruple … "Bhikkhu, you have committed an offense (āpatti) entailing defeat (pārājika)."
