[254] When a bhikkhu knowingly speaks falsehood, saying, "My mind (citta) is unobstructed (vinīvaraṇa) by lust (rāga)," … "My mind is unobstructed by hatred (dosa)," … "My mind is unobstructed by delusion (moha)," — with three modes … [with four modes … with five modes … with six modes … with seven modes] — there is an offence of pārājika, namely:
(1) beforehand he knows, "I shall speak falsehood";
(2) while speaking he knows, "I am speaking falsehood";
(3) having spoken he knows, "falsehood has been spoken by me";
(4) misrepresenting his view;
(5) misrepresenting his conviction;
(6) misrepresenting his preference;
(7) misrepresenting his state.
