[265] With three modes, for one who knowingly speaks falsely, saying: "I attained, I attain, I have attained the first absorption (jhāna), and lust (rāga) has been given up by me" … "I attained the first absorption" … "and hatred (dosa) has been given up by me" … "I attained the first absorption" … "and delusion (moha) has been given up by me — disgorged, released, abandoned, relinquished, cast off, utterly cast off" — there is an offense of pārājika. …
