[444] A man sends a bhikkhu, saying: "Go, venerable sir, and say to the woman of such-and-such a name who is both protected by threat of punishment (saparidaṇḍā) and protected by her mother … both protected by threat of punishment and protected by her father … both protected by threat of punishment and protected by her mother and father … both protected by threat of punishment and protected by her brother … both protected by threat of punishment and protected by her sister … both protected by threat of punishment and protected by her relatives … both protected by threat of punishment and protected by her clan … both protected by threat of punishment and protected by the dhamma … both protected by threat of punishment and one with a protector (sārakkhā): 'Be, it is said, wives of the man of such-and-such a name, bought with wealth (dhanakkītā).'" He accepts, he inquires [conveys the message], he brings back the reply: an offense of saṅghādisesa.
The ninth, the Bound Wheel (baddhacakka), is concluded.
The One-Rooted (ekamūlaka) section is finished.
