SaṅghādisesakaṇḍaSaṅghādisessikkhāpada

[454] A man sends a bhikkhu, saying: "Go, venerable sir, and say to the woman of such-and-such a name, guarded by her mother (māturakkhitā): 'Be, it is said, the wife of the man of such-and-such a name — both one bought with money (dhanakkītā) and one living together by desire (chandavāsinī).'" He accepts, he inquires, he brings back the reply — an offence of saṅghādisesa. A man sends a bhikkhu, saying: "Go, venerable sir, and say to the woman of such-and-such a name, guarded by her mother: 'Be, it is said, the wife of the man of such-and-such a name — both one bought with money and one living with him for wealth (bhogavāsinī).' … 'both one bought with money and one living with him for cloth (paṭavāsinī).' … 'both one bought with money and one wedded by the water-bowl ceremony (odapattakinī).' … 'both one bought with money and one relieved of the head-pad (obhatacumbaṭā).' … 'both one bought with money and one who is both a slave and a wife.' … 'both one bought with money and one who is both a hired worker and a wife.' … 'both one bought with money and one taken captive under the flag (dhajāhaṭā).' … 'both one bought with money and a momentary wife (muhuttikā).'" He accepts, he inquires, he brings back the reply — an offence of saṅghādisesa. The section-wheel (khaṇḍacakka) is finished.
