[469] In the case of a woman protected by her mother, the mother sends a **bhikkhu**, saying: "Go, venerable sir, tell the man named so-and-so: 'May the woman named so-and-so be the wife of the man named so-and-so — both a wife bought with money (dhanakkītā) and one who lives with him by her own desire (chandavāsinī).'" He accepts, he inquires, he reports back: an offense of saṅghādisesa.
