[479] A woman protected by her mother (māturakkhitā) sends a bhikkhu, saying, "Go, venerable sir, say to the man of such-and-such a name: 'May I be the wife of the man of such-and-such a name — both a wife bought with money (dhanakkītā) and one who dwells with him by choice (chandavāsinī)' … 'both a wife bought with money and a momentary wife (muhuttikā).'" He accepts, he makes the inquiry, he brings back the reply: an offense of saṅghādisesa.
