[470] The mother of a woman protected by her mother sends a bhikkhu, saying: "Go, venerable sir, tell the man named so-and-so: 'Let her be the wife of the man named so-and-so — both a wife living with him by her own desire (chandavāsinī) and a wife living with him for wealth (bhogavāsinī) … both a wife living with him by her own desire and a temporary wife (muhuttikā); both a wife living with him by her own desire and a wife bought with money (dhanakkītā).'" He accepts, he inquires, he brings back the reply: an offence entailing a formal meeting of the Saṅgha (saṅghādisesa).
The bound wheel (baddhacakka) [is concluded].
The root has been abridged.
