SaṅghādisesakaṇḍaSaṅghādisessikkhāpada

Vinayapiṭaka · Bhikkhu Vibhaṅga (1) · Vol. 1 · Section 456

[456] A man sends a bhikkhu, saying, "Go, venerable sir, and say to the woman of such-and-such a name, who is protected by her mother (māturakkhitā): 'Be, it is said, the wife of the man of such-and-such a name — both a temporary wife (muhuttikā) and a wife bought with money (dhanakkītā)' … 'both a temporary wife and a wife who lives together by her own desire (chandavāsinī)' … 'both a temporary wife and a wife carried off under the banner (dhajāhaṭā).'" He accepts, he inquires, he reports back: an offence of saṅghādisesa. The one-rooted section (ekamūlaka) is finished.
