[481] A woman protected by her mother (māturakkhitā) sends a bhikkhu, saying: "Go, venerable sir, say to the man of such-and-such a name: 'May I be the wife of the man of such-and-such a name — both a temporary wife (muhuttikā) and one bought with money (dhanakkītā)' … 'both a temporary wife and one taken as a captive (dhajāhaṭā, lit. "brought under the flag").'" He accepts, he inquires, he brings back the reply: an offense of saṅghādisesa.
The single-rooted (ekamūlaka) cycle is finished.
The two-rooted (dumūlaka) and the rest should be done in the same way.
This is the ten-rooted (dasamūlaka).
