[1082] Bhikkhus, just as the river Gaṅgā slants toward the east, slopes toward the east, inclines toward the east, so too, bhikkhus, a bhikkhu developing the five faculties (pañcindriyāni), making much of the five faculties, slants toward Nibbāna, slopes toward Nibbāna, inclines toward Nibbāna.
