[1207] Bhikkhus, when the four bases of spiritual power (iddhipāda) have been developed thus and cultivated thus, a bhikkhu, with the destruction of the taints (āsava), realizes for himself with direct knowledge (abhiññā), in this very life, the taintless liberation of mind (cetovimutti) and liberation by wisdom (paññāvimutti), and having entered upon it, he dwells therein. (The six direct knowledges should be elaborated in full.)
