[1615] Bhikkhus, a noble disciple who possesses four things is said to be rich, with much wealth, with great possessions, of great fame. Which four? Here, bhikkhus, a noble disciple possesses unwavering confidence in the Buddha thus: "Indeed, that Blessed One … teacher of devas and humans, the Enlightened One, the Blessed One." He possesses unwavering confidence in the Dhamma … in the Saṅgha …. He possesses the virtues dear to the noble ones — unbroken … conducive to concentration (samādhi). Bhikkhus, a noble disciple who possesses these four things is said to be rich, with much wealth, with great possessions, of great fame.
