[252] "And how, Bhikkhus, does a bhikkhu who is heedful (appamatta) develop the Noble Eightfold Path (ariya aṭṭhaṅgika magga), and cultivate the Noble Eightfold Path? Here, Bhikkhus, a bhikkhu develops right view (sammādiṭṭhi), which slants toward Nibbāna, slopes toward Nibbāna, inclines toward Nibbāna … he develops right concentration (sammāsamādhi), which slants toward Nibbāna, slopes toward Nibbāna, inclines toward Nibbāna. It is in this way, Bhikkhus, that a bhikkhu who is heedful develops the Noble Eightfold Path and cultivates the Noble Eightfold Path."
