[361] And what, bhikkhus, is the nutriment (āhāra) for the arising of unarisen restlessness and remorse (uddhacca-kukkucca), and for the increase and expansion of restlessness and remorse that has arisen? There is, bhikkhus, non-stilling of the mind (cetaso avūpasamo): frequently giving careless attention (ayoniso manasikāra) to it — this is the nutriment for the arising of unarisen restlessness and remorse, and for the increase and expansion of restlessness and remorse that has arisen.
