Āhārasutta

Suttapiṭaka · Saṁyuttanikāya · Mahāvaggasaṁyutta · Vol. 19 · Section 524

[524] And what, bhikkhus, is the nutriment (āhāra) for the arising of unarisen ill will (byāpāda), or for the increase and expansion of arisen ill will? There is, bhikkhus, the sign of aversion (paṭighanimitta): frequently giving careless attention (ayoniso manasikāra) to it — this is the nutriment for the arising of unarisen ill will, or for the increase and expansion of arisen ill will.
