[523] And what, bhikkhus, is the nutriment (āhāra) for the arising of unarisen sensual desire (kāmacchanda), or for the increase and expansion of sensual desire that has already arisen? There is, bhikkhus, the sign of the beautiful (subhanimitta): frequently giving careless attention (ayoniso manasikāra) to it — this is the nutriment for the arising of unarisen sensual desire, or for the increase and expansion of sensual desire that has already arisen.
