[535] "And what, bhikkhus, is the denourishment (anāhāra) that prevents unarisen sensual desire (kāmacchanda) from arising, or arisen sensual desire from increasing and expanding? There is, bhikkhus, the sign of the repulsive (asubhanimitta): frequently giving careful attention (yonisomanasikāra) to it — this is the denourishment that prevents unarisen sensual desire from arising, or arisen sensual desire from increasing and expanding."
