Suttapiṭaka · Saṁyuttanikāya · Mahāvaggasaṁyutta · Vol. 19 · Section 358

[358] And what, bhikkhus, is the nutriment (āhāra) for the arising of unarisen sensual desire (kāmacchanda), and for the increase and expansion of sensual desire that has arisen? There is, bhikkhus, the sign of the beautiful (subhanimitta): frequent unwise attention (ayonisomanasikāra) to it — this is the nutriment for the arising of unarisen sensual desire, and for the increase and expansion of sensual desire that has arisen.
