[538] And what, bhikkhus, is the non-nourishment (anāhāra) that prevents unarisen restlessness and remorse (uddhacca-kukkucca) from arising, and prevents arisen restlessness and remorse from increasing and expanding? There is, bhikkhus, the calming of the mind: frequently giving wise attention (yoniso manasikāra) to that is the non-nourishment that prevents unarisen restlessness and remorse from arising, and prevents arisen restlessness and remorse from increasing and expanding.
