[163] When it is a robe given in urgency (acceka-cīvara) and he perceives it as a robe given in urgency, and he lets the robe-season period (cīvarakālasamaya) elapse: it is to be relinquished, an offense entailing confession (nissaggiyaṃ pācittiyaṃ). When it is a robe given in urgency and he is in doubt, and he lets the robe-season period elapse: it is to be relinquished, an offense entailing confession. When it is a robe given in urgency and he perceives it as not a robe given in urgency, and he lets the robe-season period elapse: it is to be relinquished, an offense entailing confession.
When it has not been determined and he perceives it as determined (adhiṭṭhita) … when it has not been assigned and he perceives it as assigned (vikappita) … when it has not been given away and he perceives it as given away … when it is not lost and he perceives it as lost … when it is not destroyed and he perceives it as destroyed … when it is not burnt and he perceives it as burnt … when it has not been plundered and he perceives it as plundered — and he lets the robe-season period elapse: it is to be relinquished, an offense entailing confession.
If he makes use of a robe subject to relinquishment without having relinquished it: an offense of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa). When it is not a robe given in urgency and he perceives it as a robe given in urgency: an offense of wrong-doing. When it is not a robe given in urgency and he is in doubt: an offense of wrong-doing. When it is not a robe given in urgency and he perceives it as not a robe given in urgency: no offense.
