[40] One uses a robe subject to forfeiture (nissaggiya cīvara) without having forfeited it: an offense of wrong conduct (dukkaṭa). When the month has not passed (māse anatikkante), perceiving that it has passed: an offense of wrong conduct. When the month has not passed, being in doubt: an offense of wrong conduct. When the month has not passed, perceiving that it has not passed: no offense (anāpatti).
