"I will not sit with arms akimbo (khambhakata) amid the houses" — thus the training is to be observed.
One should not sit with arms akimbo amid the houses. Whatever bhikkhu, out of disrespect, sits amid the houses with an arm akimbo on one side or on both sides, incurs an offense of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa).
There is no offense: if it is unintentional; if he is unmindful; if he does not know; if he is ill; if he has gone to a lodging; in emergencies; if he is mad; if he is the first offender.
