[170] "Bhikkhus, I will teach you what is beneficial (attha) and what is harmful (anattha). Listen and attend closely; I will speak." "Yes, venerable sir," those bhikkhus replied to the Blessed One. The Blessed One said this: "And what, bhikkhus, is the harmful? The destruction of life (pāṇātipāta) … wrong view (micchādiṭṭhi) — this, bhikkhus, is called the harmful. And what, bhikkhus, is the beneficial? Abstention from the destruction of life … right view (sammādiṭṭhi) — this, bhikkhus, is called the beneficial."
