[182] "Bhikkhus, I will teach you the dhamma that should be made to arise (uppādetabba) and that which should not be made to arise. Listen to it … And what, bhikkhus, is the dhamma that should not be made to arise? The destruction of life (pāṇātipāta) … wrong view (micchādiṭṭhi) — this, bhikkhus, is called the dhamma that should not be made to arise. And what, bhikkhus, is the dhamma that should be made to arise? Abstinence from the destruction of life … right view (sammādiṭṭhi) — this, bhikkhus, is called the dhamma that should be made to arise."
