[369] "Whoever" (yā pana): whoever, of whatever sort … "Bhikkhunī": … this is the bhikkhunī intended in this sense.
"A woman giving suck" (pāyantī) means: she is either a mother or a wet-nurse.
"Should ordain" (vuṭṭhāpeyya) means: should give the full ordination (upasampadā).
Thinking, "I shall ordain her," she seeks a group, or a teacher, or a bowl, or a robe, or she agrees upon a boundary (sīmā): an offense of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa). With the motion (ñatti), an offense of wrong-doing; with the two proclamations of the act (kammavācā), offenses of wrong-doing; at the conclusion of the final proclamation of the act, for the preceptor (upajjhāyā) an offense of expiation (pācittiya); for the group and for the teacher, an offense of wrong-doing.
