[414] **"Whatever"** means: whoever, of whatever sort … . **"Bhikkhunī"** means: … this is the bhikkhunī intended in this sense. **"With less than twelve years' standing"** means: one who has not reached twelve years (of rains). **"Should ordain"** means: should give full ordination (upasampadā). If, thinking, "I will ordain [her]," she searches for a group (gaṇa), or a teacher (ācarinī), or a bowl, or a robe, or authorizes a boundary (sīmā), there is an offense of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa). Through the motion (ñatti), an offense of wrong-doing; through the two proclamations of the act (kammavācā), offenses of wrong-doing; at the conclusion of the proclamation of the act, for the preceptor (upajjhāyā) there is an offense entailing expiation (pācittiya); for the group and for the teacher, an offense of wrong-doing.
