[470] **"Whatever"** means: whoever, of whatever sort … **"Bhikkhunī"** means … this is the bhikkhunī intended in this context. **Sikkhamānā (probationer)** means: one who has trained for two years in the training in the six dhammas. **Sāmaṇerī (female novice)** means: one who keeps the ten training rules (sikkhāpada). **Gihinī (laywoman)** means: one who dwells in a house is so called. **"Or should have herself rubbed" (ummaddāpeyya vā)** means: she has herself rubbed — an offense (āpatti) of pācittiya. **"Or should have herself massaged" (parimaddāpeyya vā)** means: she has herself kneaded — an offense of pācittiya.
