[87] That bhikkhunī should be admonished (samanubhāsitabbā). And thus, bhikkhus, should she be admonished: the Saṅgha should be informed by a competent and capable bhikkhunī:
"Ladies, let the Saṅgha listen to me. This bhikkhunī named so-and-so, admonished by the Saṅgha, speaks thus to the bhikkhunīs: 'Just live in company, ladies; do not live separately. There are in the Saṅgha other bhikkhunīs too of such conduct, of such repute, of such fame, vexers of the Bhikkhunī Saṅgha, concealers of one another's faults; the Saṅgha says nothing to them. It is to you alone that the Saṅgha—out of contempt, out of scorn, out of impatience, out of tale-bearing (vebhassā), because of weakness—speaks thus: "The sisters indeed live in company … Live apart, ladies; it is seclusion alone that the Saṅgha praises for the sisters."' She does not relinquish that course. If it is the right time for the Saṅgha, let the Saṅgha admonish the bhikkhunī named so-and-so for the relinquishment of that course. This is the motion (ñatti).

The Saṅgha admonishes the bhikkhunī named so-and-so for the relinquishment of that course. If the admonition of the bhikkhunī named so-and-so for the relinquishment of that course is agreeable to any lady, let her be silent; she to whom it is not agreeable should speak.
"A second time also I speak on this matter. … A third time also I speak on this matter. …
"The bhikkhunī named so-and-so has been admonished by the Saṅgha for the relinquishment of that course. It is agreeable to the Saṅgha; therefore it is silent. Thus do I hold it."
