[64] That bhikkhunī should be admonished (samanubhāsitabbā). And thus, bhikkhus, should she be admonished. The Saṅgha should be informed by a competent and capable bhikkhunī:
"Venerable ladies, let the Saṅgha listen to me. This bhikkhunī named so-and-so, angry and displeased, speaks thus: 'I renounce the Buddha, I renounce the Dhamma, I renounce the Saṅgha, I renounce the training. What, are these the only female ascetics — those female ascetics who are daughters of the Sakyan? There are other female ascetics too, who have a sense of shame, who are scrupulous and desirous of the training; I shall live the holy life in their presence.' She does not relinquish that matter. If it seems fitting to the Saṅgha, let the Saṅgha admonish the bhikkhunī named so-and-so for the relinquishing of that matter. This is the motion (ñatti).
"Venerable ladies, let the Saṅgha listen to me. This bhikkhunī named so-and-so, angry and displeased, speaks thus: 'I renounce the Buddha, I renounce the Dhamma, I renounce the Saṅgha, I renounce the training. What, are these the only female ascetics — those female ascetics who are daughters of the Sakyan? The Saṅgha admonishes the bhikkhunī named so-and-so for the relinquishing of that matter. Whichever venerable lady approves of the admonition of the bhikkhunī named so-and-so for the relinquishing of that matter, let her remain silent; whichever does not approve, let her speak.
"For the second time also I speak this matter … For the third time also I speak this matter … The bhikkhunī named so-and-so has been admonished by the Saṅgha for the relinquishing of that matter. It is agreeable to the Saṅgha; therefore it is silent. Thus do I hold it."
