[170] Which phenomena (dhammā) are wholesome (kusala)?
On the occasion when one develops the path for rebirth in the form [realm] (rūpūpapatti) — quite secluded from sensual pleasures … one enters and dwells in the first jhāna, measureless, with a measureless object, on the earth kasiṇa (paṭhavīkasiṇa) — on that occasion there is contact (phassa) … there is non-distraction (avikkhepa) …
These phenomena are wholesome.
