[171] Which phenomena (dhammā) are wholesome? On the occasion when one develops the path for rebirth in the form sphere (rūpūpapatti) and, with the subsiding of thought-conception (vitakka) and discursive thought (vicāra), … the second jhāna … the third jhāna … the fourth jhāna … the first jhāna … enters and dwells in the fifth jhāna — limited, with a limited object, on the earth kasiṇa (paṭhavīkasiṇa) … limited, with an immeasurable object, on the earth kasiṇa … immeasurable, with a limited object, on the earth kasiṇa … immeasurable, with an immeasurable object, on the earth kasiṇa — on that occasion there is contact (phassa) … there is non-distraction (avikkhepa) … These phenomena are wholesome.
