[281] What on that occasion is thought-conception (vitakka)? That which on that occasion is thinking (takka), thought-conception, thought (saṅkappa), fixing (appanā), firm fixing (byappanā), application of the mind (cetaso abhiniropanā), wrong thought (micchāsaṅkappa) — this is the thought-conception that there is on that occasion.
