[546] Which is that form that is faculty (indriya)? The eye-faculty (cakkhundriya), the ear-faculty (sotindriya), the nose-faculty (ghānindriya), the tongue-faculty (jivhindriya), the body-faculty (kāyindriya), the femininity faculty (itthindriya), the masculinity faculty (purisindriya), the life-faculty (jīvitindriya) — this is that form which is faculty. Which is that form that is not faculty? The sense base of visible form (rūpāyatana) … edible nutriment (kabaḷīkāro āhāro) — this is that form which is not faculty.
